I've redone this a bit to make it even more ridiculous, and I think I've almost doubled the number of swords on it. I guess I'll go section by section to describe it. First Section: The entire sword put together. I'm, not going to bother throwing together some numbers, so lets just leave it at "too big for you to wield."
Second: Here's it with the Shield and a few other things removed. The length's been reduced significantly, but there's already been several weapons removed. There's 2 katars, 2 sword-chucks, and 8 throwing knives. The second katar and sword-chuck comes from the other side of the blade.
Thrid: 4 more weapons removed. These are fairly thin, because they rest on either side of the main blade in the middle. the top part of either one (each pair is basically the same btw) comes off for a wide short sword/cleaver thing, and the bottom is a big revolver. The handle rotates and bends into the grip, and because I don't know anything about guns and this is as ridiculous as possible, lets say the revolver fires .50 cal rounds.
Fourth: Here's the main blade and the last sword still on it. That sword has a few slots on it that move to spit out thin spikes. No real reason, just spikes.
Fifth: BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE. the main sword spreads apart to make it seem bigger, and then the 2 blades come off completely into separate swords. Plus the axe slips off, which leaves...
Sixth: The real base sword. I'm pretty sure I can't possibly take anything else off of this sword. This last one is a reinforced obsidian blade. It's the most fragile, which is why is housed so deep in the sword, but its also the sharpest, and thus the most powerful I guess. It also extends to almost the length of the original sword.
Total blade count: 24 + 1 shield "it's like a whole army in a 'single' sword!"
Let me guess one of the inspirations for this weapon: Final Fantasy VII Advent Children's Cloud Strife's First Tsurugi Fusion Swords
But, man; this weapon has even more weapons than his Fusion Swords put together, and this blade carries different weapons too. I like this. Faved it! Looks powerful and badass all in all!
well yeah, but it's hard to make a weapon like this and not mention Cloud at some point. Anyways, thanks! I like to try and take ridiculous concepts and make them even more ridiculous. I did mean to edit this to put in a chainsaw...
hey, no need to get testy. In fact, I've never seen that movie, but I've seen how cloud got a cool sword that split apart, and I wanted to design one that did the same. I've been interested by the concept and have drawn several swords as such in my gallery. True, with this one there are some similarities, and there are differences, but that's the same with any sword based of that idea, of which there are many others by other people.
I've also been having the idea to come back and alter this one a bit to make it do some more things, and make it a little more original, and less symmetrical too. To be fair though, I think I'll add to the description that the idea was inspired by the sword from Advent Children, but was not directly based off of it.
The concept is awesome and like ya already know it's not practical-UNLESS, the whole thing is supposed to be shared between a team and the whole sword isn't put together unless a big enemy needs it's ass handed to him.
yea, that's kinda the idea I had when designing it. Either keep it separate unless there's a big guy who need's killing, or keep it whole and toss teammates emergency back-up weapons/shields when they need them.

A weapon for varieties of combat. The perfect weapon (or is it?).
